Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz denied all rumors regarding Former Chief Miniter Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s son, Salman Shehbaz that he is not returning from abroad due to NAB references.
“Salman has left for London on a private trip only and will return to Pakistan. Salman’s father Shehbaz Sharif has been in the NAB prison for the past 40 days and his brother Hamza is also cooperating with the anti-corruption watchdog”, said party sources. However they didn’t specify any date that when he will return to Pakistan.
Earlier Slman’s cousins and Sons of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Hassan, Hussain Nawaz has declared absconders by the Couurt, as they did not return Pakistan even following top court orders.
It is worth mentioning that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approached the Ministry of Interior for placing the names of Hamza Shehbaz Sharif and his brother Salman Shehbaz on the Exit Control List (ECL). NAB in a letter argued that both brothers are under investigation, therefore names should be placed on ECL. “NAB has recommended to the ministry to place the names of Hamza Shahbaz and Salman Shahbaz on the ECL,” a NAB spokesman said in a statement issued on Friday.
NAB had launched inquiry against Salman and Hamza that Rs 200 million was paid from the national exchequer to construct bridge in Chiniot which allegedly facilitates Ramzan Sugar Mills owned by Sharif family. Shehbaz brothers also being investigated over possessing assets beyond means case. Hamza Shehbaz appeared before NAB last week but his brother Salman failed to do so as he is in London.
