According to the Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia said that Kingdom will lift its restrictions on citizens travelling abroad and open land, sea and air borders from May 17.
As per to details, The Saudi nationals who have received 2 vaccination jabs, or one shot at least 2 weeks prior to travel, those who have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 6 months and those who are under 18 years old will be permitted to travel.
The Ministry also said that Saudi Nationals have largely been restricted from travel since March 2020, when the Saudi Arabia first suspended all travel in and out of the country as coronavirus started spreading around the globe.
The borders of Saudi Arabia reopened in July 2020 but citizens were still not allowed to travel, In January, authorities postponed the end of the travel restriction for the public and the full reopening of entry points to May 17.
In February, The kingdom banned entry for non-citizens from 20 states with the exception of diplomats and medical practitioners.
