The Supreme Court of Pakistan’s three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and other members including Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Yahya Afridi will hear the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s bail plea on medical grounds March 19.
Nawaz has been imprisoned at Kot Lakhpat jail since December 2018 following his conviction in a corruption reference in line with the Supreme Court’s July 2017 verdict.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan and his daughter Maryam Nawaz said that Nawaz sharif’s condition is not stable as his cardiac disease has worsened. Maryam had also said that “Since he hasn’t agreed to be shifted to the hospital & his heart disease has worsened (according to cardiologists sent by the govt to examine him y’day), I request the Jail authorities to establish an immediate resuscitation and life saving unit on Jail premises”.
