The Supreme Court of Pakistan has halted the re-polling on NA-259 Dera Bugti on 29 polling stations on the request submitted by Jamhori Watan Party (JWP) leader Shah Zain Bugti.
According to details, the divisional bench led by justice Gulzar Ahmed heard the case on the Shah Zain Bugti request for stopping re-polling which would be held on July 15. The counsel of the Bugti requested the court restore the notification of success of the Shah zain as the constituency will remain left without presentation.
Justice Gulzar Ahmed asked, “Is there re-polling after the SC verdict,” the lawyer of the other party told the court that the schedule for the polls had been issued on 29 polling stations. The judge asked, “did you want to unaffected the plea?”
The Shah Zain lawyer said the court should restore the notification of Shah Zain Bugti success as he has secured the lead of 1221 votes. After hearing the arguments from both sides the court ordered to halt polling and said the hearing will be held after the summer vacations.
