Renowned Talented national and international players from across the country, Canada and India participated in second Guru Nanak Dev Ji Kabaddi Cup, held in Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad, ACE News reported.
The players were seen warming up before the match. In the final match, ‘Shair-e-punjab’ defeated Azaad Kabbadi club and won the tournament. Around 6 teams took part in the tournament. A large number of people, including Sikh Community from India and Canada came to attend the tournament and cheered for their favorite team.
Chief Guest, Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Doar appreciated the efforts of event organizer Naveed Nazir and other event management and said that organizing such events and healthy activities are important for the future of the sports in Pakistan. Special guests, Ijaz Ahmad, Nazar Lodhi and Asif Vohra were also present at the occasion and expressed their excitement and hoped for such events in future to promote sports in Pakistan and neighboring countries.
Tournament sponsor, Sardar Sohan Singh, told ACE News that he is very happy to become part of the event and termed this event as important key to develop love and harmony between overseas people.
Later, cash prizes, Bikes and trophies were also distributed among the position holders.
