After request of National Accountability Bureau to put opposition leader in National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif’s name on Exit Control List, now Interior ministry of Pakistan has placed the name of Shehbaz on the provisional national identification list (PNIL) or ‘stop list’, barring him from travelling abroad due to the ongoing case against him for owning assets beyond known sources of income.
After getting bail from Lahore high court in Ashiana and Ramzan Sugar Mills scandal, opposition leader in National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif was reportedly scheduled to go London for ailing of his granddaughter, sources said. Following the rumors, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday (Feb 18) requested the interior ministry to put Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL). His son Hamza is already in London with his newborn daughter.
The Lahore High Court on Thursday (Feb 14) approved Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s bail petitions in Ashiana and Ramzan Sugar Mills scandal and directed to release the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader.
