An accountability court on Wednesday (Oct 31) extended the transit remand of opposition leader and former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif till November 6 in Ashiana Housing scheme case. Shahbaz was presented before Judge Mohammad Bashir today by the National Accountability Bureau.
Shehbaz was arrested on October 5 in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case after he appeared before NAB in the Saaf Pani case. NAB sources said that Shehbaz was arrested after former top bureaucrat Fawad Hasan Fawad told the anti-graft watchdog that he carried out corrupt activities in projects in Punjab at Shehbaz’s behest.
