MCU fans were in for a shock when news broke out that Spider-Man is leaving Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The superhero is set to leave the franchise after Disney and Sony’s deal reached an impasse. International reports suggest that Sony Pictures and Walt Disney-Marvel Studios’ deal has hit the dead-end after their new financial deal caused a hindrance in the collaboration.
While Disney hasn’t commented on the development, Sony broke their silence over the has reacted to Disney’s decision of disassociating Marvel President Kevin Feige with the Spider-Man franchise.
In a statement issued to international publications, the production house expressed they were “disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision” of refusing Marvel Studios head to continue as the producer for the future projects. While the studio expressed their reaction over Disney’s decision, they were all praise for Feige and Amy Pascal for their work on Spider-Man: Far From Home.
