A female student passed away after falling from the fourth floor of a building of Bahria University in Islamabad.
The incident took place on Thursday when the 23-year-old Haleema Amin fell from the fourth floor of an under construction building in the varsity campus. She was immediately taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) after the fall where she later succumbed to her injuries.
According to university officials, Haleema fell while taking a selfie from the building’s fourth floor. She was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries. On the other hands, students have said the university is hiding the real details about Haleema’s death.
Following the incident, students boycotted their classes and staged a demonstration against the administration outside the university campus. The roadblock demonstrations have been ongoing for over two hours.
Despite repeated attempts to contact the university, no official response was received until the filing of this report.
