According to the sources, The government of Punjab in view of sharp rise in the cases of coronavirus decided to close down all schools in 4 major cities of province.
As per to details the cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad will remain close for at least 1 week effecting from 6th of March to 13th of March.
The government of Punjab issued a notification in this regard citing that “ In the wake of sudden rise in COVID-19 case, the public as well as private schools located in territorial jurisdiction of districts of Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad will remain close from Saturday, 6th of March, 2021 to Saturday 13th of March, 2021″
It must be noted that the health authorities recommended to seal 2 colleges in Islamabad immediately after the emergence of 10 new cases of COVID-19 among students and teachers.
As per to a report forwarded to the deputy commissioner (DC) Islamabad by the district health officer (DHO), 3 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Model College for Boys in Sector
10/1 while 7 others were emerged in Model College For Boys, located in F-7/3.
The district health officer (DHO) has instructed the Islamabad administration to seal both colleges until further orders.
