Seven dead bodies of a family were recovered in a house in village Shah Nawaz Junejo near Tando Jam on Wednesday( March 6). According to initial reports deceased identified as 55-year-old Ashraf Hayat Umar Junejo, his wife 45-year-old Shehnaz, his son Jawad, his daughters Nisha, Aliza and Laraib, were dead due to carbon monoxide poisoning, further investigation are underway.
Ashraf’s brother, Aslam Hayat Junejo, said “When I climbed the wall of the house on Wednesday noon and entered the room, I saw them all lying unconscious on the charpoys.” The local people also shared a similar account, telling the police that the family members were last seen outside their house on Sunday.
The police shifted the bodies to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) for the postmortem. “All entrances to the house were closed from inside,” Hyderabad DIG Naeem Ahmed Shaikh told the media outside LUH. “All the bodies were found in one room [on the charpoys].”
