Meghan Markle, the wife of British Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, has suffered another major setback, having been defeated in the first round of a court battle against a British newspaper.Meghan Markle will now have to pay a whopping 67 67,888 in court costs as she admits defeat to the Associated Newspapers Limited, publisher of the British newspaper Mail on Sunday.
It may be recalled that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had sued the newspaper group for publishing an article in February 2019. Meghan Markle agreed to pay the large sum because the newspaper had said that the court had rejected her case, a High Court judge, Justice Warby, had ruled in favor of the publisher and dismissed unnecessary allegations.
