List of constituencies and main candidates
The people of former tribal areas and newly merged districts will go to polls On July 20, 2019 for the very first time. They will elect the 16 representatives in the KPK assembly to represent them.
The returning officers concerned have allotted symbols to all 297 candidates for 16 general seats.
According to the ECP data, a total of 419 candidates were eligible for the elections after the disposal of appeals against the decisions of the returning officers and 122 of them withdrew their nomination papers until May 29, the last date for doing so.
The symbols allotted to the parties include bat for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, lantern for Awami National Party, book for Jamiat Ulema–i-Islam-Fazl, scale for Jamaat-i-Islami, tiger for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, arrow for Pakistan Peoples Party-Parliamentarians and lamp for Qaumi Watan Party.
The highest number of 31 candidates is contesting election in PK-108 Kurram-I followed by 24 in PK-110 Orakzai, 22 in PK-105 Khyber-I and PK-109 Kurram-II each, 21 in PK-114 South Waziristan-II, 20 in PK-112 North Waziristan-II and PK-113 South Waziristan-I each, 19 in PK- 106 Khyber-II and PK-111 North Waziristan-II each, 18 in PK- 104 Mohmand-II and PK-107 Khyber-III, 15 in PK-101 Bajaur-II, 12 in PK-100 Bajaur-I and PK-102 Bajaur-III each, and 10 in PK-115 ex-Frontier Regions.
PK 100 Bajaur (i)
Total Population: 351,555
Male voters: 94,937
Female voters: 61,300
Total voters: 156,237
Main candidates: There are 12 candidates in the field. Anwer Zeb PTI- Waheed Gul JI- Maulana Abdul Rashid JUI-F- Afzal Gul ANP- Irarudin PML-N are the main candidates.
Main problems: The people faced many problems. The lack of basic infrastructure in education, health, roads is the major problem. There is severe shortage of teachers in schools. The lack of job and economic opportunities are other problems.
PK 101 Bajaur (ii)
Total Population: 348,386
Male voters: 92,390
Female voters: 65,097
Total voters: 157,487
Main candidates: There are 15 candidates in the run. Sahibzada Haroon Rashid JI- Ajmal Khan PTI – Anees Khan PPP- Lali Shah ANP is the main candidates.
Main problems: Lack of basic health facilities. There is shortage of schools and teachers. Unemployment is also major issues.
PK 102 Bajaur (iii)
Total Population: 393,743
Male voters: 125,358
Female voters: 91,361
Total voters: 216,719
Main Candidates: There are 14 candidates in the contest. Sirajuddin JI- Sheikh Jan Zada ANP- Hameedurehman PTI, Rahim dad independent- Malik Khalid Khan independent is the main candidates.
Main problems: Some areas are still without electricity. Damaged telephone and power lines have yet to be repaired. Lack of economic opportunities forced many people to work in other cities.
PK 103 Mohmand (i)

Main candidates: There are 18 candidates in the run in this constituency. Rahim Shah PTI- Nisar Mohmand ANP- Gulab Nawaz JUI-F- Arshad Bakhtiar PPP- Fazal Raziq JI is the main candidates.
Main problems: Basic health care services not available. There is not a single public school for girls in the area. There is lack of basic services and infrastructure.

Main candidates: There are 18 candidates in the run for this constituency. Sajjad Mohmand PTI- Abbas Khan independent- Maulana Muhammad Arif JUI-F and Muhammad Saeed JI are the main candidates.
Main problems: There is severe shortage of clean drinking in this constituency. The people bring water from far away areas.

Main Candidates: There are 22 candidates in the run in this constituency. The main candidates are PTI has fielded Shahid Shinwari- Awami National Party’s candidates include Shah Hussain- Malakzada Nadeem PPP-JUI-F’s Mufti Ejaz- Jamaat-i-Islami’s Murad Husain Afridi – Shafiq Sher independent- Sher Mat Khan independent- Darya Khan independent.
Main problems: Lack of facilities for clean drinking water. Unemployment is another major issue.

Main Candidates: There are 19 candidates in the run. Ameer Mohammad Khan PTI- Ms Naheed Bibi ANP- Hazrat Wali PPP- Shah Jehan JI- Bilawal Afridi independent- Khan Sher independent are the main candidates.
Main problems: Electricity supply is the major problem in this constituency. There are many areas in this constituency without any electricity. There is also shortage of drinking water.
PK 107 Khyber (iii)

Main candidates: There are 18 candidates in the run. Main candidates are Zubair Afridi PTI- Mohammad Sadeeq Chiragh ANP- Sohail Khan PPP- Shamsullah JUI-F- Shah Faisal JI- Muhammad Shafiq independent- Hameedullah Khan independent.
Main problems: Schools and basic health facilities destroyed by terrorists in the area needs to be reconstructed. There is lack of basic infrastructure and services.
PK 108 Kurram (i)
Total Population: 339,247

Total voters: 172,897
Main candidates: There are 31 candidates in the contest. Shahid Bangash PTI- Muhammad Jamil independent- Riaz Shaheen JUI-F is the main candidates.
Main problems: Schools damaged by terrorists remain vacant and unrepaired. There are also no hospitals in the area, which is why patients need to travel to a nearby city for care. Some die on the way to the hospital.
PK 109 Kurram (ii)
Total Population: 280,306

Main candidates: There are 22 candidates in the contest. Syed Iqbal Mian PTI- Javedullah PPP- Abrar Hussain independent are the main candidates.
Main problems: The largest DHQ hospital is in parachinar city that provides health facilities to people of adjoining areas. But there is shortage of medical staff and doctors in the DHQ. There is lack of employment opportunities for educated youth. ——————————————————————————————————–

Main candidates: There are 24 candidates in the run. Habib Noor independent- Azan Jamal independent- Shoaib Hassan PTI is the main candidates.
Main problems: There are no health facilities in this constituency. The people of this constituency have to travel long distances to get medical treatment. Unemployment rate is very high. There is also lack of education facilities for girls.
PK 111 North Waziristan (i)

Main candidates: There are 19 candidates in the run. Muhammad Iqbal PTI- Nazeer khan PML-N – Malik Fareed ullah independent and some other independent candidates are the main candidates in the constituency.
Main problems: High unemployment. There is urgent need of rehabilitation of internally displaced people into their homes. There is need to reconstruct the basic infrastructure destroyed during Taliban rule and military operations. There is need of education and health facilities.
PK 112 North Waziristan (ii)
Total Population: 272,197

Main candidates: There are 20 candidates in the contest. Behram nur independent- Siddiq ullah JUI-F – Aurangzeb Khan PTI are the main contenders.
Main problems: Lack of clean drinking water facilities. There is lack of basic facilities including education and health.

Total Population: 321,077
Male voters: 122,197
Female voters: 96,638
Total voters: 218,835
Main candidates: There are 20 candidates in the run. Afsar Khan PTI- Hafiz Asamuddin JUI-F- and some powerful independent candidates are vying for this constituency.
Main problems: The homes and shops in the area damaged during Taliban control and the military operation against terrorists in the area have not been reconstructed. There is need to undertake the rehabilitation work at fast pace to solve the basic problems.
PK 114 South Waziristan (ii)
Total Population: 352,988

Total voters: 167,994
Main candidates: There are 21 candidates in the contest in this constituency. Naseer ullah Jan PTI- Saleh Muhammad JUI-F and some independent candidates are the main candidates.
Main problems: Lack of basic healthcare facilities, and shortage of teachers at educational institutes.

Main candidates: Muhammad Shoaib JUI-F- Abid Rehman PTI- Ghulam Qadir Khan ANP and independents are the main candidates.
Main problems of the constituency: Lack of clean drinking water, education and health facilities.
