Federal Minister for Planning and Development Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar on Monday (May 13) while talking to a private news channel, said that incumbent government would bring structural reforms in the country. He said that 216 billion rupees had been allocated for providing subsidy on electricity to the poor people who consume less than 300 units per month.
While talking about economic policies he said, government is fully committed to bring the country out from all challenges including economy through its prudent policies. Bakhtiar said the government is also taking concrete measures for bridging gap between imports and exports.
In a response to a question regarding IMF bailout package he said, there was no other option except approaching the International Monitory Fund (IMF) due to fragile condition of the economy. He said it would be the last bailout package of the IMF, adding poor and middle class persons would not affect by the new IMF deal.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Pakistan have reached a six billion dollars, staff-level agreement on economic policies for a three-year extended fund facility.
