According to Indian media reports, the three students study at KLE Institute of Technology, a college in Hubli district of Karnataka, India. And they belong to the Shopian district of, Indian administrative Kashmir.
According to the Hindu newspaper The Hindu, the local police commissioner Dilip has given the names of the three students as amir, basit and talib who are in the last year of civil engineering.
Indian police say that we received information that three students belonging to Indian-administered Kashmir, who were studying in the college, made slogans in support of Pakistan and also made a video which went viral, which prompted the action and were arrested.

According to Indian authorities, a student in video can be seen initially speaking with the background music after which they all shout for freedom.
“Pakistan Zindabad” can be heard in all the music playing. Indian police declined to say anything more about the students detained during the interrogation.
According to college principal Basuraj Anami Students were arrested as video circulated on social media. The reason for the spread of the video is not yet known.
These Kashmiri youths have been arrested by Indian police on charges of rebellion, after which Hindu extremists of Bajrang Dal district tried to attack them.
According to college sources, all three students are studying in the college at the scholarship of the Indian government.
