Trevor, the world’s loneliest duck, has deceased after being attacked by dogs on the isolated Pacific island that was its home. Trevor was considered as a local celebrity in the littleland of Niue as it was the only bird of his kind living on the island. He came in 2018, but it’s uncertain how he got there. He survived in a puddle during his brief life, where he was fed and taken care of by the locals every day.
“He showed up in Niue in January last year after a big storm, we think he flew or blew here,” said Niue’s Chamber of Commerce chief and the guy behind Trevor’s Facebook page.
