The US President Donald Trump vowed again that he was ready to play a role of mediation between Pakistan and India on the issue of Kashmir if both countries wanted as he would be proved a good arbitrator.
The US president made these views while holding a joint press conference with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday at White House. “If I can help, I will certainly help,” he said. “If both (Pakistan and India) want, I am ready to do it.”
The US president said he has a “good relationship” with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a “very good relationship” with Prime Minister Imran. “I respect the Pakistani nation with a deep heart as Pakistanis facing a lot of challenges but I trust in the leadership of Imran Khan,” he said.
The US President mentioned that Pakistan and India can decide what should the solution of the Kashmir dispute. The US president said he will discuss the US-Afghan talks with PM Imran.
Talking on the occasion, PM Imran Said that Trump is a president of a superpower and as a president of a world’s strong country it is his responsibility to solve the issues and he should play a role over the Kashmir issue.
“I want to talk over Afghanistan as this issue is very important for Pakistan. Stability in Pakistan attached with the stability in Afghanistan,” he said adding that regional stability desperately needed stability in Afghanistan.
“Pakistan is facing a large number of challenge and US should play the role to solve the issue of Kashmir as over 8 million people stranded in their homes for 50 days and if an intervention was not conducted a situation can be further aggravated.
