Prime Minister Imran Khan and the President of the United States Donald Trump, had a telephonic connection Yesterday (Nov 20) to discuss bilateral relations as well as Afghan Peace Process.
During the conversation, Khan also praised Trump after his mediation offer. The Prime Minister apprised US President Trump of the current situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), underscoring that over 8 million people have been under siege for over 100 days now.
The PM said, the release of hostages by the Taliban in Afghanistan was a positive development and Pakistan was happy that they were safe and free. US President Trump thanked the prime minister for his efforts in facilitating this positive outcome. President Trump thanked the Prime Minister for Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating this positive outcome.
The Prime Minister re-affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the advancement of Afghan peace and reconciliation process for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan. Moreover, Pakistan and the US have agreed to continue work together for the promotion of shared objective of establishment of peace in Afghanistan.
The two leaders discussed matters like enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, ensuring peace and to make significant progress toward economic stability.
