According to the media reports, Tayyip Erdogan, The Turkish President announced strict measures against the COVID-19 at the increasing number of high-risk cities across the country.
Tayyip Erdogan, said a full weekend lockdown was to be in place during the holy Islamic month of Ramadan, and restaurants would only serve food for delivery and take-outs.
The Turkish President also said that, A curfew from 9 pm until 5 am across the country will continue.
It must be noted that Turkey has recorded 32,404 new COVID-19 cases in the time span of just 24 hours, the highest number this year,
As per the health ministry data showed that the cumulative number of cases stood at 3,240,577 and the latest daily death toll was 154, bringing the total to 32,404.
Tayyip Erdogan said that, Istanbul and capital Ankara which are Turkey’s biggest cities are among the high-risk cities, added that 80% of the country’s almost 84 million citizens lived in high-risk cities.
