Twitter has suspended the account of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Chief, Khadim Hussain Rizvi, on Sunday (Nov 4) after he had been subject to several complaints by social media users on the rounds of hate speech. Earlier government requested the Twitter to take action against his tweets inciting violence.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had revealed during an address that Twitter had turned down the government’s request of suspending the TLP Chief’s official account. Rizvi had used his official account to stir his voters for protest against Supreme Court’s verdict of Asia Bibi’s acquittal.
