The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday reserved its verdict on Zulfi Bukhari’s petition seeking removal of his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Earlier The Supreme Court on November 12 accepted the petition challenging the appointment of Zulfi Bukhari, and issued notice to Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Cabinet Division. Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bukhari and the Cabinet Division were made respondents in the petition. Zulfi Bukhari, the PM’s special assistant on overseas Pakistanis and human resource development, is facing dual nationality, charges. The accountability bureau is investigating about the use of the offshore companies to buy dozens of expensive commercial properties in London.
The bench had directed NAB to submit a list of documents required from Syed Zulfikar Ali Bukhari, aka Zulfi Bukhari, to complete the probe into his alleged illegal assets case.
