After PML-N’s open challenge and warning regarding consequences, if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Shehbaz Sharif removed from the post of Chairman Public Accounts Committee, now Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah also termed government efforts to replace Shehbaz Sharif as chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) a bid to divert attention from economic issues.
He questioned the government that which is why it is trying to replace Shehbaz as PAC chairman adding that its just an effort to divert attention from economic issues. While criticizing government;s decision and policies he said “Those cursing the parliament took oath as the prime minister from the same house,” he lamented. “They are themselves humiliating the parliament.” “We can do a lot, but we are not doing. We want the democracy and parliament to run. “Their subject is slander and nothing else. They want to target and degrade democracy,” he said.
On the other hand while talking about Shehbaz Sharif’s PAC chairmanship Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed has warned that he will filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court if no decision is taken on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairmanship. “I will wait and see this week and if no decision is taken on Shehbaz’s PAC chairmanship then I will file a writ petition in the Supreme Court by Monday or Tuesday.” “Prime Minister Imran Khan inquired himself whether a minister can become a member of the PAC.”
