Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has hinted to launch a full-fledged protest on July 25. Talking to media in Lahore, PPP central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the party will ensure its full participation in the protest announced by the opposition alliance.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said, “Those who used to say that they will ensure the provision of a container, food and other facilities to the opposition parties are now imposing sanctions on media houses for covering opposition parties. “We never asked for any relief from the government,” he added. “The opposition’s numbers are complete and those who once condemned the horse-trading are now trying to convince our members to vote in their favour,” he further added.
“I hope that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is working on the pro-people agenda if not it’s sure that PPP is working on a pro-people agenda,” said the PPP leader. “The premier’s tone during his visit to the United States (US) is same as of a jail superintendent,” he concluded.
The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, the Pakistan Muslim League-N, Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan-Noorani, Awami National Party and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party would be other opposition parties which would be seen with the PPP in the protest against the government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf across Sindh.
