Controversies between leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and government’s statements about PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s health, has raised many questions as PML-N has claimed that government is not providing better and proper treatment facilities to the Nawaz Sharif. A few days earlier Nawaz Sharf’s daughter Maryam Nawaz has claimed that his father had four angina attacks in a week.
Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday (March 6) met his family including Nawaz’s mother, his brother Shehbaz Sharif and daughter Maryam Nawaz met the former premier to convince him to be shifted to hospital but Nawaz Sharif onnce again refused. He told his family members that neither had he begged the government for his treatment, nor would he ask for it.
“Neither have I begged for treatment, nor will I ask for it. Politics is being done in the name of treatment,” Nawaz told visiting members of his family. “The insulting behaviour of the government is not acceptable,” he said, adding he was being taken to one hospital from another.
“The government has not yet provided any treatment facility, [I am] only being troubled,” he said. “I will prefer to die honourably, but humiliation is unacceptable.” Requesting his mother to return home, the former premier asked her to pray for him, saying, “Whatever would be the will of Almighty Allah, it would happen.”
Speaking to media, Shehbaz confirmed that his elder brother’s deteriorating condition and said “Nawaz is suffering from pains in his arm repeatedly, which is an alarming symptom,” Shehbaz told newsmen.
Earlier Maryam Nawaz earlier tweeted: “On my way to Kot lakhpat jail to see MNS. I hope he agrees to shift to the hospital. My grandmother also accompanying me. May be she can prevail bcoz MNS has never said no to her. Thank you everyone for your unflinching love, support & prayers. Will keep you updated, Insha’Allah”.
