On Tuesday, the president of the Young Doctors’ Association, Dr Yasir Khan, denied having reached an agreement with the government and demanded that the police involved in the manipulation and arrest of medical personnel be punished.
The provincial health secretary and special secretary should be removed from the posts. “Until our demands are met, no services will be provided apart from in the labor room and cardiology department,” he said.
He said that doctors should be provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), medical kits and other facilities so that they can treat the coronavirus patients.
It is pertinent to mention here that there is no medical staff available to treat patients at the Civil Hospital Quetta.
