Smog and weather changes can force the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to change the venues for Zimbabwe T20Is and remaining matches of the PSL-5 which are scheduled to be played here at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore in November.
As per to Cricket Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is mulling Rawalpindi as an alternative option to host T20Is too against Zimbabwe as Lahore will face smog during the upcoming winter season as usual.
The medical staff and high-ups of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are closely monitoring the situation.
The final decision will be taken once Rawalpindi completes hosting 3 ODIs on October 30, November 1, and 3, respectively.
The PCB already has announced to start the matches in the day time to avoid smog affecting the game.
The Pakistan Super League season 5’s knock-out stage is also in peril due to a change in weather conditions.
The PSL-5 mega event’s closing is also likely to be shifted somewhere else. PSL 5 matches are scheduled in mid-November at Gaddafi Stadium.
