The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has revealed the team's jersey for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, which will be hosted by Pakistan. In a video shared by the ACB, Afghanistan's players were seen wearing the new jersey, which reflects the country's rich cultural heritage.

The jersey design incorporates elements from the historic Jam Minaret in Ghor Province. The ACB explained on Instagram that the design combines the elegance of Naskh calligraphy with the geometric patterns found in the Jam Minaret. "As the Afghan team steps onto the field, they will carry the spirit of unity, the resolve of our nation, and the legacy of Jam. They are set to make history and showcase Afghanistan’s pride on the global stage!" the post added.

Afghanistan's team is placed in Group B for their first-ever Champions Trophy appearance, where they will compete against the 2023 ODI World Cup champions Australia, England, and South Africa. Afghanistan will start their tournament on February 21 in Karachi with a match against South Africa. Their next game is against England on February 26 in Lahore, followed by their final group stage match against Australia on February 28, also in Lahore.

The Champions Trophy 2025 will begin on February 19, with Pakistan, the defending champions and hosts, facing New Zealand. The tournament will feature 15 matches across Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, while India's games will take place in Dubai.
