WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow events to appear in regular chats, enhancing the experience for users even after the introduction of community tabs. This feature, which is expected to be available in a future update, will let users create events within individual chats, similar to how events are created in group chats.
Users will need to provide a name for the event, which is required, and they can also add an optional description to give more details. To make sure everyone is on the same page, the event’s date must be specified. Users will also have the option to set an end time for the event, helping define its duration.
An optional location can be added, so participants will know where the event will take place. Once an event is created in an individual chat, it will be automatically shared with everyone in the chat, and participants will receive a notification. They will then have the option to accept or decline the invitation, making it easier to confirm attendance.
