Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed kick off wedding celebrations as pictures go viral

The much-awaited wedding celebrations of Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed began with a cozy dholki gathering over the weekend.

The pre-wedding festivities for the two best friends-turned-lovers kicked off with their first dholki, hosted by close friend and actress Momal Sheikh along with her husband, Nader Nawaz.

For the intimate celebration at home, Kubra Khan, known for her role in Noor Jahan, stunned in a multi-colored, floor-length kalidar dress by renowned designer Farah Talib Aziz. She completed her look with gold jewelry and flower bangles. Meanwhile, Gohar Rasheed, known for his role in Ishqiya, went for a traditional style, wearing a black kurta pajama paired with a deep green calligraphy shawl.

Shared glimpses of the night from the groom-to-be’s Instagram showcased the event’s notable guests, including actors Shehzad Sheikh and his wife, Ali Rehman Khan, Khaqan Shahnawaz, Aashir Wajahat, celebrity couple Ali Safina and Hira Tareen, choreographer Hasan Rizvi, and drama producers Shazia and Wajahat Rauf, along with Abdullah Kadwani and Sana Shahnawaz.

Last month, Kubra and Gohar confirmed their upcoming wedding through a heartfelt Instagram post. Kubra shared a video of the couple, with a caption reading, “Aapke Pyar aur Duaon ke saath (With all your love and prayers)… Bismillah,” as they made their long-awaited announcement.

While the couple has kept most details of their wedding events private, rumors indicate that they will marry on February 22 in a ceremony in Karachi.
